Sheku describes the first time he heard Billie Holiday’s ‘Strange Fruit’ as one of those moments where ‘time stopped completely.’ Now he’s arranged the song for cello and saxophone, and recorded for the first time with Jess Gillam, who he has known and admired for years. This is the first in a series of musical collaborations between Sheku and friends.
