This concert, entitled Le Goûts Reunis (The Reunited Styles), takes you on a musical journey through France, England, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain - in the Baroque era! At that time, each country had developed its own musical style. The highly entertaining concert program revives this extremely creative musical era.
The title Le Goûts Reunis is a tribute to François Couperin (1668 - 1733). Couperin had published a collection of concertos under this name in which he wanted to combine the different styles of European countries. The French composer thus became the inspiration for this unique compilation of Baroque music.
Performed by Jordi Savall and his orchestra Le Concert des Nations - with period instruments, of course. The concert took place on July 18, 2021 in Fontfroide Abbey (France).
