I am pleased to offer two dozen fortunate young people seeking the best higher education has to offer what I truly believe will be a life-changing opportunity. This is the chance to apply to the first Master’s degree offering of Ralston College, a new educational institution situated in Savannah, Georgia. I have agreed to serve as Chancellor for Ralston. The chancellorship is —an, a role that is both symbolic, in relation to my public profile as an advocate of classical education and free speech, and practical, in that I am actively working with Ralston in an advisory and administrative role. I have been working particularly closely over the last few years helping to set up this new institution with Ralston’s President and founder, Dr. Stephen Blackwood. The college, which will operate in the traditional brick-and-mortar manner, is in the process of revitalizing three historic buildings in central Savannah—the first steps toward the establishment of a full campus—with the full and vigorous support of the local community. Ralston is first aimed at the renewal of serious humanities education, based on firm faith in the value of past human endeavour, oriented toward a future deemed to be, in principle, bright and abundant without limitation. Ralston will be offering its first advanced education degree program, a one-year MA in the Humanities, in the fall of 2022. If you are someone who has dreamed of expanding your knowledge of the classical humanities and, simultaneously, in having the intellectual and moral adventure of your life, then this is the program for you. We are looking for bright, adventurous, conscientious, ambitious and ethical young people, devoted to first to educating themselves in the most profound possible sense, and second to making the best possible use of that education as they make their way to great success in the world after graduation. The generosity of the small group of entrepreneurial philanthropists who are serving as partners in this venture has also made it possible for us to offer full scholarship support (tuition and accommodation) to all those to whom a position will be granted in this fall’s class. Additional bursary support is available to cover travel expenses where such support appears necessary.
