Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,
When we think of ancient philosophy, it can sometimes seem a bit abstract… Plato and his theory of the forms, for instance, or Heraclitus’ conception of the logos.
But as we’re always eager to remind you here at Classical Wisdom, ancient philosophy can play a crucial role in our everyday lives, even if we don’t realize it.
Whether it’s focusing on what’s in our control like the Stoics, or suspending our judgement like the Skeptics, the ancients have a lot to say about how we live today. Or rather, how we ought to live today.
So, with that in mind, be sure to check out this week’s article on what makes a good friend… and more specifically, what did Aristotle have to say about friendship?
