I received an email last night from Colin Church, our man at Thalassa Journeys, which I’ve shared with you below.

It’s pretty important news for folks who were interested in our upcoming trip, Emperors, Conquerors, and Saints, but were disappointed when it sold out so quickly:

Hello Anya,

I hope all is well with you!

We were able to add some cabins for this journey, so if you have anyone interested or want to do some new emails, please go ahead. I have only shared this with you for your group for now.

We have two E, C, and three As.

I was thrilled!

You see, I asked Colin if at all possible he could secure some more cabins since I received so much interest from our lovely Classics loving community in this once in a lifetime journey, Emperors, Conquerors, and Saints, departing September 14th, 2024.

Along with professors Robert Gurval of UCLA and Douglas Brookes of UC Berkeley, this state of the art ship will traverse Turkey, Greece, the Greek Islands and Cyprus to discover the rise and fall of great empires, whose legacies continue to shape our world.

Long time readers may recall that our first ever Classical Wisdom Voyage, which took place in September 2022, was an absolute success. In fact, we sold out our allotment in one week (similar to when we launched this most recent voyage)... and afterwards we received wonderful and heart warming messages from all our guests who couldn’t speak highly enough of the experience. 

Here are just a sampling:

Unfortunately things outside our control meant we haven’t been able to fully offer another trip... until this one. 

And, as you have already witnessed, our first allotment of cabins came and went quickly… so it’s pretty exciting that we have another chance to offer this trip.
