Before Socrates: The Strange Ideas That Shaped Philosophy

<p><span>Dear Classical Wisdom Reader,</span></p><p><span>I have a special invitation for you...</span></p><p><span>You see, before Socrates started pestering powerful Athenians with uncomfortable questions, a remarkable group of thinkers had already been asking some pretty big ones:</span></p><p><em><span>What is reality? What is the world made of? Is there some underlying order to it all... or is everything constantly changing?</span></em></p><p><span>Yes, dear reader, I am talking about the “Pre-Socratics” or, as regular readers might recall, the rather better term, “Natural Philosophers.”</span></p><p><span>(I mean, if the label was good enough for Aristotle...)</span></p><p><span>These were thinkers who beautifully blended mathematics, music, philosophy, metaphysics and more. They didn’t stick to academic silos or neat categories... no!
